What exactly is your personal kua? Well, to be quite frank it is your energy signature. It’s value is determined by the stars in the heavens and the Earth itself. Mostly the Earth itself!
Every year has a different energy signature. So when you were born your essence took on certain general attributes of the year you were born in. And these run in cycles of nine. Every ninth year the cycle starts again.
The calendar which we use today is politically based and not naturally based. The modern Western Calendar is one that we agreed to use Worldwide, mainly for commerce. The Chinese lunar calendar is based on the movements of the moon. The Chinese solar calendar is based on the natural planting and harvesting cycles on Earth. This is the reason that the Chinese Solar calendar is the one you use to figure your kua or energy signature.
It falls on February 5 at midnight. Why? Because it is exactly half way between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox . It is when spring planting begins. So if you were born on February 4th or before then you will use the year prior to the current western calendar year. If you were born on February 5 or after then you’ll use the current Western calendar year.
Does the Chinese lunar calendar play role. Yes it does! The heavens give your basic nature more characteristics to your personality. It gives you individuality! But, this, too, is predictable. The Chinese solar calendar cycles every nine years and lunar calendar cycles every twelve years thus giving an amazing variety of individual personalities.
Why is your personal kua so important in feng shui. Because you are from the Earth. The Earth is the most powerful influence on your life. So the nine cycle nature based Chinese solar calendar is the biggest determinant to your energy signature, thus your personal kua.
Your essence is from the stars and that determines feminine or masculine energy. Or yin (feminine) and Yang (masculine). Sexual orientation is a very big confuser of the formulas.
